Dr. Belal Shehab is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 15 years of experience. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in Egypt in 2009, where his passion for surgery drove him to spend his internship year gaining hands-on experience in the operating room at Cairo University. There, he developed extensive exposure to a wide range of maxillofacial surgeries. In 2014, Dr. Shehab began his residency in the Department of Cranio-Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery at Alexandria University, completing his training in 2018. During this time, he earned both the Arab Board Certification and the prestigious Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MOMS RCSed). He further honed his skills through an externship at Tufts University in Boston, USA, and pursued a master’s degree in clinical research. In 2022, he was awarded a scholarship from Harvard Medical School for clinical research training, and in April 2023, he published his first peer-reviewed paper in the Al-Azhar Journal of Dental Sciences. Currently a consultant in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Shehab practices the full spectrum of his specialty. He actively participates in national and international conferences to stay updated on the latest advancements in the field. Having recently relocated to the UAE, he now serves as a senior specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is also recognized as a distinguished implantologist by the Department of Health (DOH). A dedicated educator, Dr. Shehab is passionate about teaching and utilizes active learning methods to mentor interns and junior staff effectively.
