Biography

Dr. Rabee Hilal is an Ophthalmologist Surgeon specialized in Corneal and Refractive surgeries with over 14 years of experience. He earned his medical degree from Damascus Medical University in 2005, followed by the completion of his master’s degree in ophthalmology in 2010. Subsequently, he obtained a Cornea and Corneal Refractive Surgery certificate from the Ministry of Health, Syria, in 2011.

Throughout Dr. Rabee’s career, he has successfully performed over 6,000 surgeries, encompassing cataract, refractive, and corneal transplantation procedures. Since 2010, he has devoted his practice to cataract and intraocular implant surgeries, corneal surgeries including keratoplasties, and various refractive procedures employing excimer laser techniques like lasik, epi-lasik, ultralasik, femtosecond lasik, as well as implant refractive surgeries such as phakic lenses ICL or clear refractive lens exchange.

Dr. Rabee Hilal has worked with various renowned institutes in Syria and UAE prior to joining Burjeel day Surgery Center, Al Reem Island.

He is a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS) and the Syrian Ophthalmology Society.
