Biography

Dr. Abed Homsi is a Consultant Pediatrician and licensed by The Arab Board of Health Specializations with over 12 years of experience. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Human Medicine at Aleppo University, Syria, in 2003 and his Master’s degree in Pediatrics at Damascus University, Syria, in 2010. Dr. Abed began his practice in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatrics Department at the Palestinian Red Crescent Hospital in Damascus, Syria, in 2010 and continued this until 2014. He then relocated to the UAE and gained substantial Pediatrics experience in reputed private hospitals for over seven years before joining Burjeel Day Surgery Center, Al Reem Island, in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Abed’s areas of expertise include examination of newborns and children, administration of vaccines, monitoring growth, development, and nutrition, management, and treatment of general and infectious diseases, performing blood allergy tests or skin pricks, and ear piercing.
