Dr. Anshita Pahwa General Practitioner (Pediatrics)

Biography

Dr. Anshita Pahwa is a competent General Practitioner in Pediatrics with nine years of experience. She completed her MBBS from Kathmandu University, Nepal, in 2008 and further pursued her two-year Post Graduation in Pediatrics from one of the renowned Medical colleges, Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, India, in 2011. She was also certified in Pediatric Nutrition from Boston University in 2017. Dr. Anshita began her postgraduate career in Pediatrics in 2012, working as a Registrar of Pediatrics in various renowned hospitals in India until 2014. In the same year, she began her practice as a Pediatrician at M.P Health Care Center, Uttar Pradesh, India, and worked there for seven years before moving to UAE. She also gained experience in her one-year practice at a renowned school in Dubai, UAE, before joining Burjeel Day Surgery Center, Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.  She also holds membership in renowned bodies, including the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and the Indian Medical Association. She is BLS and PALS certified and has actively participated in various seminars and journal club meetings to keep her updated on the latest developments and knowledge. Dr. Anshita’s area of interest includes diagnosis and treatment of common pediatric and newborn infectious and non-infectious diseases, understanding, counseling, and treatment of childhood behavioral disorders, administration of vaccines, monitoring growth and development of children, guidance in pediatric nutrition and removal of foreign bodies from common areas.
