Biography

Dr. Khaled Khattab’s career spans 36 years specializing in the field of Orthopedics in diverse hospital environments in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. He qualified with his first professional medical degree (MBBCh) from the Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, in 1983 and gained the post-graduate Master of Science (MSc) from the same university in 1990.

Dr. Khattab began his career as an Assistant Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon at Abd Al Aziz Specialized Hospital, Egypt, from 1986 to 1989. He transferred to work as a Casualty and Occupational Trauma Physician at the Association of Health, Egypt. In 1991, Dr. Khattab moved to Saudi Arabia and worked as an Orthopedic Resident at the King Fahad Hofuf Hospital until 1995. He then moved to the UAE and served at the Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi, as 1st Lieutenant Orthopaedic Resident until 2001. Dr. Khattab’s experience prospered at Sharjah Army Medical Center as Head of Department in 2016 and a second phase of service at Zayed Military Hospital, Sharjah, before joining Burjeel Day Surgery Center, Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Khattab is an expert in the treatment of orthopedic cases in pediatric and elderly age groups, focusing on the following: treatment of fractures – close and open reduction internal fixation; management of sports injuries; treatment of osteoporosis and stress fractures; treatment of orthopedic diseases; management of various causes of musculoskeletal pain; conservative and surgical management of common hand and wrist pathologies.
