Dr. Thomas George Arayathinal is a venerated Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, renowned for bringing countless smiles to thousands of patients in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf. With remarkable surgical skills and dedication to patient care, he has been transforming lives, one procedure at a time for nearly two decades in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Thomas Arayathinal earned his bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from Bangalore and subsequently completed early post-graduation in Maxillofacial plastic surgery. He then pursued further training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in the United Kingdom, where he was headhunted to join the first-ever Oral and Maxillofacial training program for overseas doctors under the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London. Here, he gained extensive training and highly specialized skills in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Thomas is a Fellow of three Royal colleges: the Royal College of Surgeons in England, the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Following his training in the United Kingdom, Dr. Arayathinal was appointed as a Consultant at a teaching hospital. He then served as the Head of Maxillofacial and Dentistry at Saudi Arabia for 10 years, followed by 18 years as a Consultant and Division Chief of Maxillofacial Surgery in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Thomas Arayathinal continuously enhanced his skills by undergoing further training in corrective jaw surgery and the management of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders and Sleep Breathing Disorders in Germany, Netherlands, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
