Biography

Dr. Mahmoud Tageldin Mustafa Mohamed is an Emergency Physician at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi. He has worked in Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia for over 23 years. He received his medical Degree (MBBS) in 1989 from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, Sudan. He received his Membership from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland, and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (in Accident & Emergency Medicine and Surgery). Additionally, he earned a European Master of Disaster Medicine and a European Resuscitation Council Fellowship. He is the Organizer/Director of European Resuscitation Council (ERC) courses, an Instructor, and an Instructor Trainer for BLS, ILS, ALS, ETC, EPALS, and GIC. He is also the Organizer/Coordinator of ERC courses in Sudan and the United Arab Emirates and the Course Director and Instructor for MIMMS, the ALS Group’s Major Incident Medical Management and Support Course. He began his career in Sudan in 1990 as an intern at Khartoum North Teaching Hospital and later became the Medical Officer at Kordofan State’s Um. Ruwaba Hospital and then the Chief of the Um. Ruwaba health area’s health team. Until 1994, he worked as an Emergency Department and Surgical Resident at Khartoum Teaching Hospital and Khartoum North Teaching Hospital. He moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1995 to work as an Emergency Physician and Family Physician at the Health Directorate of Asir Region, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health, until 1999. He was the Head of the Emergency and Surgical Department at Jubail General Hospital in Saudi Arabia until 2006, when he relocated to the United Arab Emirates to pursue a career in emergency medicine at Al Rahba Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He joined the ADNOC group in 2013 and served as the Team Leader of Zirku Medical Centre and ADNOC Offshore Medical Service until 2018, when he transferred to Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
