Biography

Dr. Maged Abu-Bakr Ahmed completed his MBBCh degree in 2003 from the Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University, Egypt after which he pursued his specialization in orthopedic surgery from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. As an upgradation to his qualifications, he is currently pursuing MD from Cairo University. He is also a candidate for the image-guided interventional pain control course – Leicester University, UK. Dr. Maged is a Member in the Program of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, for the management of mass disasters and covering the peripheral hospitals in Egypt. He has played a significant role with the Mass Disasters Control Team in war injuries in Palestine 2007 and 2008, proving his ability to work under emergency situations. From 2013- 2015, he also served as a Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon in Khoula Hospital in Muscat Oman, one of the biggest and most busy trauma centers in the Middle East. From 2006- 2012, he was doing his residency and specialization in orthopedic surgery in Nasser Institute Hospital, the biggest and most advanced tertiary hospital and the national mass disaster center in Egypt and the referral hospital for war injuries. Dr. Maged Abu-Bakr has been practicing as a Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon at various reputed hospitals in different parts of Middle East, when he re-located to the UAE in 2015, to work for Saudi German Hospital, Dubai and Al-Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi. With 18 years of clinical experience, Dr. Maged Abu-Bakr’s scope of service includes arthroscopy, arthroplasty, sports injuries, traumatic and non-traumatic joint pains, joint replacement surgeries , fractures and many more similar interventions.
