Dr. Jawad Fazal has more than 12 years of experience as Consultant in Neurology and Stroke Medicine. He completed his Neurology training in West Midlands, United Kingdom. In addition to obtaining CCT UK in Neurology, he has a fellowship in Stroke and holds GMC UK subspecialty certification in Stroke Medicine. Before joining Burjeel Medical City, he was a full-time practicing consultant in one of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK, University Hospitals Birmingham. Dr. Jawad’s areas of expertise include hyper-acute treatments for Stroke patients, Intravenous Thrombolysis, as well as the management of Hemorrhagic Strokes and all types of stroke patients. He possesses proficient skills in diagnosing and managing a wide range of Neurological conditions, including Migraine and all other headache types, Epilepsy, Movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and tremors, Nerve and muscle disorders, Neuroinflammatory conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Auto-immune disorders of the nervous system, memory disorders, and Dementia.
