Dr. Firuz Ibrahim, MBBS, MD, DNB, FEBNM, is a highly accomplished specialist in the branch of nuclear medicine and holds the position of Specialist in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi. She has many years of experience in various nuclear medicine procedures with a special interest in nuclear oncology, radio-nuclide therapy, nuclear cardiology, neurology, and endocrine imaging interventions. Over the years of her much-awarded career, Dr. Firuz Ibrahim has successfully handled complicated and sensitive cancer cases with advanced nuclear medicine technology. She has actively participated in educating the non-nuclear medicine fraternity about the scope and prospects of Nuclear Medicine and has contributed to the efficacy of diagnosis and therapy procedures in the specialization. Other areas of her research and application include radio-nuclide therapy, dementia and Parkinson’s disease imaging, utility of FDG PET CT in pyrexia of unknown origin, PET CT in gynecological malignancies, Lymphoma and Multiple myeloma. Dr. Firuz Ibrahim received her training from a 1500-bedded high volume cancer center in South India. She also worked for another 5 years in a busy tertiary care hospital in South India, before joining Burjeel Medical City. She is a Fellow of European Board of Nuclear Medicine and has also received Master’s in Oncologic in Imaging Certificate from University of Pisa, Italy.
