Biography

Dr. Buchra Ali Ali is a seasoned Specialist Ophthalmologist with over 27 years of experience in delivering comprehensive ophthalmic care across the UAE and abroad. Trained in France, she completed a rigorous six-year residency program and holds advanced qualifications including an AEPS and a Inter-University Diploma of Specialty in Ophthalmology. Her extensive clinical expertise spans outpatient care, emergency ophthalmology, and both medical and surgical management of ophthalmic patients. Throughout her career, Dr. Ali has overseen the full operation of ophthalmology departments, managing a daily caseload of 30 to 60 patients and providing care across a wide spectrum of conditions. She has worked in both public and private healthcare settings, consistently maintaining a high standard of patient care and contributing to departmental leadership. Her role has also included mentoring medical students, conducting clinical research, and participating in quality assurance programs such as ISO auditing and policy development. Dr. Ali is an active member of several professional organizations including the French Association of Ophthalmology, the French Group of Glaucoma, the Emirates Medical Association, and the Syrian Medical Association.
