Biography

Dr. Yasir Suliman is an American Board-Certified vascular surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeon. He completed his General Surgery residency and Vascular Surgery Fellowship training in the USA at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, respectively. He also practiced as a vascular surgery consultant at the Presbyterian Hospital of Denton, Texas. His background training and practice in top tier institutions in the USA has equipped him with a broad experience in managing a wide range of complex vascular conditions. His interest lies in limb salvage and amputation prevention in patients with various diabetic foot, limb threatening conditions and peripheral arterial disease. He particularly specializes in minimally invasive and endovascular techniques in treating blocked arteries. His expertise also includes treatment of abdominal and thoracic aneurysms, carotid disease and varicose veins using state of the art minimally invasive and endovascular techniques as well as open surgery. Notably, Dr Suliman is very experienced in the creation and management of dialysis access and in particular his expertise in the management of dialysis patients with complex thoracic vein blockages is unique. Dr Yasir is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is Board certified in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He previously held the position of Chair of Vascular Surgery Department at a Private Hospital in Abu Dhabi as well as the Chair of the Vascular Surgery Service line at SEHA, Abu Dhabi. He has numerous publications including scientific articles in per-reviewed medical journals and a book chapter. Dr Yasir is an avid cyclist and enjoys gardening.
