Dr. Maciej Szwedowski Consultant Urology & Uro-Oncology

Biography

An accomplished Urologist with specialized experience in Uro-Oncology, Dr. Maciej had the foundations of his career strongly built in his home country, Poland, where he acquired a Master’s degree in Medicine (MD) and a Doctorate (PhD) in the same discipline of study. He also holds a Fellowship of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) and other honors as a member in various urology associations. During the first phase of his career, Dr. Maciej worked as Resident Doctor, Specialist and then Consultant Urologist at the leading hospital in Poland, also created and headed The One-Day Surgery Department of Urology. Then subsequently he moved to the United Arab Emirates where he worked as full-time and Visiting Consultant in Urology and Uro-Oncology for a well-known hospital and medical group, with operations in Dubai and Ajman. The specializations which Dr. Maciej pursued as a Urologist and Onco-Urologist is the area of minimally invasive treatment technique. Committed to this micro-specialization from the beginning, Dr. Maciej succeeded in perfecting the art and earned a good reputation after a string of successful minimally invasive treatments done with advanced technology and equipment. Despite his busy schedules at work, Dr. Maciej Szwedowski does find time to invest in the research study of urology and onco-urology medicine and has worked as principal investigator and co-investigator for ten different clinical trials. He also has authored and co-authored several publications with the most important ones in the New England Journal of Medicine and Journal of Urology.
