Biography

Dr. Krishnan Radhakrishna Pillai is a Specialist Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR), Burjeel Darak, Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE. After graduating from TD Medical College, Alappuzha, Kerala, India, in 2004, he worked in the departments of internal medicine, neurosurgery and emergency at various hospitals in Kerala. In 2008, he received his ECFMG Certification and undertook an attachment in orthopedics, PMR with Resurgens Orthopedics, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Dr. Krishnan, then gained the Doctor of Medicine (MD) qualification, majoring in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, from the University of Annamalai, Tamil Nadu, India. His career span covers 15 years in the profession where he started work as Assistant Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, Kerala, India from 2014 to 2017 to when he was actively involved in teaching students in MD and MBBS academic levels. Later, he worked at the Indo-American Hospital Brain and Spine Centre, Vaikom, Kerala, India as Consultant and Head of Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) from June 2017 to March 2018.

In 2018, Dr Krishnan re-located to the UAE and commenced his work as Specialist-Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Universal Hospital, Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Burjeel Medical City, Dr Krishnan was positioned as Specialist Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NMC Provita and NMC Royal Hospital, Khalifa City, UAE
