Biography

Dr. Ahmed Basha is a highly skilled Neurosurgeon with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic teaching. He currently serves as a Clinical Lecturer at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, where he plays an active role in teaching neurosurgical sciences to postgraduate and undergraduate students. In addition, he has held various teaching and clinical positions at multiple renowned institutions, contributing to both educational development and patient care. Dr. Basha’s clinical expertise spans a wide range of neurosurgical disciplines, including functional surgeries, epilepsy procedures, neuro-oncology, pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgeries, and trauma management.

 

Dr. Basha is proficient in performing complex neurosurgical interventions with a particular focus on functional neurosurgery, movement disorders, spinal surgeries, and pediatric oncology cases. He is also well-versed in advanced diagnostic procedures and is highly experienced in supervising and coordinating surgical teams, making critical decisions in trauma and elective cases. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Basha has a solid academic background, with an M.D. in Neurosurgery from Ain Shams University and various clinical and research training programs. His Master’s thesis focused on Stereotactic Radiosurgery versus Surgery in the Management of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, and his M.D. thesis addressed surgical options for treating medically intractable neuropathic facial pain. Dr. Basha has also received specialized training as a visiting scholar at Oregon Health and Science University and has actively contributed to developing protocols and curricula for neurosurgery education. Dr. Basha is committed to advancing the field of neurosurgery through continuous education, research, and innovation in patient care.
