Prof. Ahmed El-Barky is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon with over 25 years of clinical and surgical expertise. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree in 1997 and his Doctorate in Medicine in 2005 from Benha Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, Egypt. In 2006, he achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Ophthalmology from Glasgow, UK. Prof. Ahmed serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Benha University, Egypt, and is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE. His expertise encompasses advanced surgical retina procedures, including managing complications of diabetic retinopathy, complex retinal surgeries for intraocular foreign bodies, and trauma. Additionally, he specializes in medical retina management, treating conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vascular diseases. With a commitment to excellence in patient care and education, Prof. Ahmed has established himself as a leader in his field.
