A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Cardiological Society of India, Dr. Koshy Georgey Kunnumpuram is the Consultant Cardiology & Interventional Cardiology at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi. After gaining his basic and advanced medical qualifications, Dr. Koshy focused on specializing in full spectrum general adult cardiology, interventional cardiology, and hospital administration to create a competitive advantage in his career. While working for one of the industry’s most reputed hospitals in Bengaluru, India, he introduced breakthrough standards in cardiac-related procedures and surgeries. In the second phase of his career, Dr. Koshy moved to Qatar and joined a leading multi-specialty tertiary hospital. He led the team in establishing the first cardiac catheterization lab in the private sector and assisted in setting up a unique specialty cardiac surgical program. He also initiated and started similar interventional cardiology and cardiac surgical program in Abu Dhabi, making it the second one in his career.
