Dr. Venkatesh Rajaram Sawant is a Board-Certified Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Burns Surgeon with 14 years of comprehensive surgical experience, including more than 6 years of post-MCh experience at a Government Premier Tertiary Referral Centre. He has extensive expertise in plastic, reconstructive and burns surgery, with particular experience in complex microsurgery, free flap reconstruction, burn surgery, limb salvage, head and neck cancer reconstruction, paediatric plastic surgery and aesthetic surgery.  He is currently an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and Burns at Goa Medical College and Hospital, where he works in a high-volume tertiary Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit. His clinical practice includes managing more than 1,300 surgeries annually, including over 530 major reconstructive procedures, as well as 250+ major acute burn admissions and 1,000+ burn OPD cases annually. Dr. Venkatesh has expertise in complex microsurgical reconstruction, free flap surgery, limb salvage, burn reconstruction and head and neck cancer reconstruction. He is also actively involved in postgraduate and undergraduate medical education and serves as the Principal Investigator of a CTRI-registered clinical trial on regenerative fat grafting with skin grafting for burns and trauma. Dr. Venkatesh has published research in the PubMed-indexed Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery and is the Principal Investigator of a CTRI-registered clinical trial on regenerative fat grafting with skin grafting for burns and trauma. Â
