Dr. Romit Ratnakar Salian is a highly experienced ophthalmologist and vitreo-retina surgeon with over 12 years of specialized clinical and surgical expertise. He completed his DNB in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore—one of India’s most renowned ophthalmic institutes and subsequently pursued a long-term fellowship in Vitreo-Retina from the same institution. Following his fellowship, Dr. Salian served as a Consultant Vitreo-Retina Surgeon at Aravind Eye Hospital for one year, The Eye Foundation for two years, and a private clinic in Pune for nearly two years. In 2017, he became a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) and has since contributed significantly to academic platforms, serving as faculty for Ophthalmology Sans Frontieres and speaking at the Aravind–University of Illinois, Chicago Collaborative Conference in 2019. He has also presented numerous scientific papers and posters at national conferences in India and has several publications in international ophthalmology journals.
