It’s Time To Get Your Annual Mammogram

A mammogram is a type of x-ray that uses low-dose radiation to create an image of the breast. This image can help doctors find cancers beforey cause symptoms.

Mammograms aren’t one-time events—they’re ongoing tests repeated over time. It’s recommended that you have annual screenings starting at age 40 and continuing until age 74, or as long as your doctor recommends it after that point (even if it means having them more frequently than annually).
