Dr. Arun Visakh is a Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT Specialist with over a decade of experience in molecular imaging and theranostics. His clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of oncological PET-CT imaging, with expertise in the diagnosis, staging, treatment response assessment, and follow-up of patients with complex malignancies. He also provides guidance on targeted radionuclide therapies in collaboration with the Nuclear Medicine team at Burjeel Cancer Institute, Abu Dhabi. Dr. Arun Visakh holds Fellowships from both the European Board of Nuclear Medicine (FEBNM) and the Asian Nuclear Medicine Board (FANMB), reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest international standards of clinical practice. Prior to joining Burjeel Specialty Hospital, Sharjah, he served as Consultant in Nuclear Medicine at a quartenary care cancer centre in Kochi, India, where he was actively involved in postgraduate teaching and academic activities. Dr. Arun played a pivotal role in establishing the first PET-CT service in the Republic of Maldives, contributing significantly to the development of molecular imaging services in the country. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications in national and international journals and has contributed a book chapter published by Springer. His academic interests include oncological PET-CT and emerging molecular imaging applications.
