Dr. Soe Moe Aung is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with more than 15 years of extensive clinical, academic, and procedural experience across internationally recognized cardiac centers in Turkey, Nigeria, and the United Arab Emirates. He completed his medical degree at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey, and subsequently pursued fellowship training in Cardiology at Kartal Koşuyolu Cardiovascular Research and Training Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Aung has developed comprehensive expertise in the full spectrum of cardiovascular medicine, with particular focus on complex coronary and peripheral interventions. His procedural experience includes coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), intracoronary imaging, carotid and peripheral vascular interventions, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation, as well as advanced echocardiography including transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and stress echocardiography. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Fatih University in Istanbul and later led the cardiology program at Reddington Hospital Group in Nigeria. Currently, he practices at Burjeel Specialty Hospital, Sharjah, where he provides evidence-based, patient-centered cardiovascular care. Dr. Aung has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals, contributing significantly to advancements in cardiovascular imaging, interventional cardiology, and heart failure research. His academic contributions reflect a strong commitment to research, innovation, and clinical excellence. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), and an active member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology.
