Dr. Samer Jamil is a highly skilled ophthalmologist with over 17 years of experience in anterior segment and refractive surgery. He has worked extensively in public hospitals, humanitarian medical settings, and private practice, providing advanced eye care with a focus on cataract, glaucoma, corneal diseases, and vision correction surgeries. He holds a Doctor of Medicine from Aleppo University and specialized in ophthalmology through the Syrian Ministry of Health. He later completed a fellowship in corneal diseases, keratoplasty, and refractive surgery. Dr. Jamil is certified by the Syrian Board of Ophthalmology and has passed licensing exams with the Dubai Health Authority and UAE Ministry of Health. Dr. Jamil has performed more than 2,000 cataract surgeries and 2,000 refractive procedures including PRK, LASIK, and ICL implantation. He is proficient in phacoemulsification, keratoplasty, glaucoma surgeries (including trabeculectomy and Ahmed valve), and strabismus correction.
