Biography

Dr. Hussein Hamed is a Physician with over 20 years of experience in his field. He earned his MBBCh in 2003 from Mansoura University in Egypt. He passed the first and second parts of the MRCPCH examinations in the United Kingdom in 2013 and 2014. He holds a HAAD Pediatric Specialist license. He began his medical career as a House Officer at Mansoura University. He worked as a General Practitioner in Primary Healthcare and Family Medicine for a year. He then spent four years as a Pediatric, PICU, and NICU Resident in a governmental hospital in Egypt in 2009. He relocated to Kuwait in 2012 and worked as a Pediatric Registrar in a pediatric general ward and pediatric emergency department of a general public hospital. He continued his medical practice as a Pediatric Specialist in a pioneering stand-alone hospital in Abu Dhabi that offers Pediatric LTAC services after five years. He has earned certifications in Child Growth Assessment, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. He has presented at international CME programs and conferences as a speaker. Additionally, he conducted research published in the Journal of American Science. His areas of interest include endotracheal intubation, insertion of peripheral venous cannulas, peripheral arterial cannulas, and blood sampling; experience with various ventilator modes, including all conventional and high-frequency ventilators, insertion of long peripheral lines, chest tubes, urinary catheters, sedation and analgesia, lumber puncture, arterial blood sampling, and central venous line, mastering all conventional and high-frequency ventilators, and manikin construction.
