Biography

Dr. Fuad Ahmed is a Consultant – Laparoscopic, Bariatric & General Surgeon at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi, specializing in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. He earned his MBChB from Baghdad University’s College of Medicine in 1994 and completed his Residency clinical training at the Medical City Teaching Centre in Baghdad, Iraq. He then advanced his training by becoming a Member of the Arab Board for Medical Specialization at the Medical City Teaching Centre in Baghdad, Iraq, where he was awarded a Certificate in General Surgery by the Arab Board in 2001. In June 2018, the European Accreditation Council for Bariatric Surgery (EAC-BS) named Dr. Fuad a “Surgeon of Excellence” in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He was also presented with a Certificate of Service Excellence from Burjeel Hospital in 2017. Surgical Review Corporation named him a “Master Surgeon in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery” in September 2018. (SRC). Dr. Fuad takes immense pride in providing his patients with focused and meticulous care in an evidence-based and professional setting.
