Biography

Dr. Dinesh earned an MS in General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore in 1997 and an M.Ch in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery from Seth G. S. Medical College and KEM Hospital in 1998. He then went to Australia to earn his DNB (1996) and Fellowship in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (2004–07), as well as his FACS in 2014. Additionally, Dr. Dinesh has attended a number of international conferences and workshops. Dr. Dinesh has an outstanding and impressive track record spanning over two decades of performing a variety of open heart, thoracic, and vascular procedures. He specializes in bypass surgery, septal defects, valve surgery, redo-sternotomy, thoracotomy, and skeletonized LIMA-RIMA, radial artery, and saphenous vein harvesting. Dr. Dinesh has worked as a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon in a number of internationally renowned hospitals, including the Fremantle Hospital in Australia, the Narayana Hrudalaya in India, and the Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology in Bangalore. Dr. Dinesh performs a broad range of cardiothoracic surgeries, including all types of valve replacements, septal defects, cardiac tumors, and VATS. With extensive experience in cardiothoracic surgery, he has a special interest in beating heart coronary artery bypass graft surgery (off-pump).
