Biography

Ms. Selvana Sedhom is a licensed Clinical Dietitian holding a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Dietetics from United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), which is an accredited program as a Foreign Dietitian Education Program (FDE) by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) in the United States of America (USA). She completed her post-graduate supervised clinical practice internship at Al Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi. Ms. Selvana has more than three years of clinical experience in various JCI-accredited multispecialty hospitals across the UAE. She has attended several international nutrition conferences and obtained workshops certificated in the nutritional management of different medical conditions. Her major areas of interest are Lifestyle management, Weight management in adults and pediatrics, medical nutrition therapy for diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, renal diseases, liver diseases, cardiovascular diseases, women’s health, nutrition during pregnancy and lactation, and enteral and parenteral nutrition.
