Biography

Dr. Yasin is board certified Orthopedic surgeon with over 14 years of experience. He obtained his primary medical education in 2006 folllowed by Orthopedic surgical training in 2012 from the University of Jordan. In 2014 he moved to Canada where he was appointed as a lecturer at Dalhousie University and spent 2 years at the IWK health centre as a senior Paediatric Orthopedic fellow followed by two years of Sports Medicine/Arthroscopic surgery fellowship at the Nova Scotia Health Authority/Dartmouth General Hospital. During this period, he gained significant clinical and surgical skills and was able to practice and operate independently through locum posts. In 2019 he became a fellow of the royal college of surgeons of England. In 2017 Dr. Yasin joined the teaching staff at the University of Jordan where he held the degree Consultant/assistant Professor and later in 2023 got promoted to an Associate Professor following his clinical, teaching and research achievements. He worked alongside a distinguished panel of experienced Professors and surgeons; he was in charge of the teaching program for fifth year medical students and orthopedic residents and had a very rich and diverse clinical practice where he performed more than 3000 procedures over the years. In 2021 Dr. Yasin Joined the orthopedic department at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain/ Abu Dhabi as a consultant Pediatric Orthopedic surgeon and spent one very successfully year during which he was able to establish a wide base of patients, before going back the University of Jordan. Dr. Yasin has numerous publications in world ranked Journals as a first and co-author. His research passion and skills are only paralleled by his clinical dedication. Dr. Yasin is an experienced Paediatric and adult Orthopedic Surgeon. He continuously pursues medical education and advancements as an attendee and faculty in regional and international meetings.
