He currently serves as the Director of Burjeel Hematology Oncology & Cellular Therapy Center, where he specializes in cutting-edge treatments such as CAR T-cell therapy and advanced immunotherapies for complex hematologic conditions, including leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). Dr. Al Zaki is not only a practicing clinician but also a distinguished physician-scientist with nearly two decades of experience in clinical practice, research, and education in the United States. His career has been marked by significant contributions to the field of oncology, particularly in personalized cancer treatments, novel lymphoma strategies, and molecular imaging techniques. Prior to his role at Burjeel Medical City, he held prestigious positions at MD Anderson Cancer Center as an Instructor in the Department of Lymphoma/Myeloma and Cancer Systems Imaging. He was also a co-primary investigator on multiple clinical trials aimed at advancing cancer treatment methodologies.
