Dr. Tamer has 22 years of experience in Endo-urology, Uro-oncology, Pediatric Urology, Uro-gynecology, Andrology, Laparoscopic, and Robotic surgeries. He began his Urology Residency training program at Al-Azhar University in Egypt in 2001, earning a Master’s degree in Urology in 2004. He later earned his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) in Urology, after which he became a Lecturer of Urology at Al-Azhar University and its affiliated hospitals. There, he began teaching various urology skills to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students as well as urology doctors. In 2015, Dr. Tamer joined Thumbay Hospital in Ajman as a Consultant Urologist. He also became an Assistant Professor and Head of the Urology Department at Gulf Medical University in the UAE. In 2019, he completed a Clinical Fellowship Diploma in Laparoscopic and Robotic surgeries from the European Board of Urology & Heidelberg University, SLK Hospital, Germany. In 2023, Dr. Tamer was appointed Professor of Urology at Al-Azhar University, Egypt. Throughout his career, Dr. Tamer has published more than 50 international research papers in the field of urology. Dr. Tamer has performed more than 2,500 urological surgeries in the last 10 years in the UAE.
