Biography

Dr. Naeem Farooqi is a senior Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon, fully trained in the UK, with expertise in managing both acute and chronic pain. He comes with extensive experience at a very high level from the prestigious UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and SEHA services of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Farooqi completed his graduation and formal General Surgical training in Pakistan. He then underwent advanced Neurosurgical training through the UK National Training Scheme (NTN) at Sheffield and Humber Deanery, leading to his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST). Later, he completed formal post-training fellowships in Functional Neurosurgery (Surgery for Pain, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s, Spasticity, and Oncology) and dual Complex Spine fellowship from leading institutes in Liverpool and Birmingham, UK.

Before moving to the UAE, he practiced as a full-time Consultant Neurosurgeon at centers of excellence such as the University Hospitals of Stoke and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Birmingham. In the UAE, he has been working as a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon since 2017, with tenures at renowned Al Ain Hospital and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC). In both places, he also served as an acting head of the department. Since 2022, he has been in private practice in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai in the UAE.
