Biography

Prof. Khaled Madbouly, MD, FACS, FASCRS, FRCS, is a Consultant  Colorectal Surgeon at Burjeel Royal Hospital, Al Ain. He is a  Professor and Chairman of Colorectal Surgery at Alexandria University, Egypt, and was Consultant  Colorectal Surgeon  at Cleveland Clinic, Abu Dhabi, from 2021- 2022.    ​  Prof. Dr. Khaled is the President of the Egyptian Society of  Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ESCRS) and Vice President of  the International Society of University Colon And rectal Surgeons  (ISUCRS). He is also the President of  the Egyptian Board  of Colorectal Surgery. ​ His areas of expertise include, 

• Hemorrhoidectomy using stapler, harmonic scalpel, ligasure 
• Laser ablation of hemorrhoids 
• Sphincter saving and laser treatment of anal fistula 
• Management of obstructed defecation using transanal and laparoscopic approaches 
• Laparoscopic colon rescetion 
• Laparoscopic resection of rectal cancer 
• Management of fecal incontinence using sacral neuromodulation 
• Treatment of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease 
• Laparoscopic management of rectal prolpapse
