Dr. Norbert completed his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) in 1995 at the University of Düsseldorf Medical School in Germany. He is also a Diplomate of the German National Board of Medical Examiners (1995) and a Diplomate of Internal Medicine (2001). Subsequently, he acquired a diploma from the German National Board of Medical Examiners, specializing in Hematology and Internal Oncology, in 2002. Dr. Norbert joined St. John’s Hospital, Düsseldorf Medical School, Germany, in 1996, following his residency. During his four-year tenure, he was instrumental in building the Stem Cell Transplant Program (peripheral autologous stem cell transplants) and focused on developing treatments for the full spectrum of oncology and hematology. In 2004, he moved to Abu Dhabi, where he served as the Head of the Department of Oncology at a reputable government military hospital. During his tenure, Dr. Norbert focused on developing chemotherapy treatments for various types of malignant tumors and hematological malignancies. He was also instrumental in establishing the oncology wing at the hospital. Dr. Norbert has more than 20 years of experience in Germany and the Middle East. He specializes in internal oncology, hematology, immunology, neoplastic diseases, and coagulation disorders. He is a member of the German Society of Internal Medicine (BDI), the German Cancer Society, the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), the German Working Group for Bone Marrow and Blood Stem Cell Transplantation (DAG-KBT), and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).
