Biography

Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Ahmed is a Consultant Anesthesiologist with over 20 years of experience in anesthesia and critical care medicine and is a certified Pain Management Consultant. He received his Master’s degree and a Medical Doctorate in Anesthesia and Intensive care from Al Azhar University, Egypt.  He obtained an Egyptian Board in Pain Medicine, Fellowship of Interventional Pain Physician (FIPP) from The World Institute of Pain, and is a Certified Interventional Pain Sinologist (CIPS) in the USA. Dr. Ibrahim is a Gold Medalist Diploma holder in ultrasound-guided analgesia and regional anesthesia from The University of Montpellier, France, a prestigious Member of the American Board of Headache Management (ABHM), Diploma of Expert in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound from Barcelona University. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim has a great experience in the field of interventional pain management, minimally invasive spine procedures, and headache management and has different international certifications and training,

Dr. M. Ibrahim has a special interest in the non-surgical treatment of spine pain, neck pain (herniated disc, degenerated disc disease, spinal canal stenosis, failed surgical procedures, and cervical facet joint pain from positions like a computer, mobile, and improper neck positions), back pain (sciatica and herniated disc, degenerated disc disease, spinal canal stenosis, failed back surgery syndrome, lumbar facet joint arthropathy, tail bone pains and sacroiliac joint pain, thoracic pain (herniated disc, degenerated disc disease, facet joint arthropathy, intercostal neuralgia, postherpetic neuralgia, and fracture ribs), Joints pain (non-surgical treatment of knee, shoulder, hip, and ankle joint pain), headache and facial pain (migraine, tension headache, cluster headache, trigeminal neuralgia, facial pain, and occipital neuralgia), cancer pain, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome and postherpetic neuralgia, chronic, abdominal and pelvic pain, diabetic peripheral neuropathy and peripheral nerves entrapment ( non-surgical treatment of carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel and tarsal tunnel syndrome).

Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim masters different interventional procedures using X-ray or ultrasound guidance, including,  

  • Radiofrequency (conventional, pulsed, cooled) on medial, lateral branches, dorsal root ganglion, and peripheral nerves
  • Regenerative medicine (using PRP, bone marrow aspirate, and other stem cells) for spine and musculoskeletal pain such as discogenic pain, facet joint pain, nerve impingement, muscle tears, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, arthritis of the knee, hip, shoulder, joints
  • Neuromodulation for failed back surgery and other chronic persistent pain conditions
