Dr. Sami Salem Ahmad is a renowned Consultant General & Bariatric Surgeon with over 37 years of experience specializing in gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery. He holds an MD from Hamburg University, Germany, a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS, Edinburgh), and German Facharzt certification in General Surgery. Throughout his career, he has worked in Germany, the UK, Jordan, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Doha. Dr. Ahmad has performed over 7,000 upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures, more than 2,500 laparoscopic fundoplications for GERD, and thousands of bariatric surgeries, including sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass. He is internationally recognized for anti-reflux surgery and complex revisional bariatric procedures and serves as an examiner and lecturer while regularly presenting at international surgical conferences.
