Dr. Mona Marwan is a highly distinguished Consultant Ophthalmologist who brings 20 years of specialized experience in Refractive Surgery, Cornea, and Ocular Surface Disorders. Over the course of her i career, she has performed thousands of successful laser vision correction procedures—including LASIK, Femto-LASIK, SMILE, and advanced surface ablations (PRK/TransPRK) and PTK —earning a reputation for surgical precision, safety, and consistently superior visual outcomes. Her extensive clinical experience is complimented by an impressive academic record Dr. Mona earned her Bachelor of Medicine and General Surgery from Tanta University in 2005, followed by a master’s degree in Ophthalmology from Benha University in 2011. Committed to achieving the highest international standards, she obtained the prestigious International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) certification in 2018 and the FRCS (Glasgow) fellowship in 2019. She further distinguished herself by earning the Arab Board of Ophthalmology certification in 2021, culminating her academic journey with an MD in Ophthalmology from Tanta University in 2023. In addition to her refractive surgery practice, Dr. Mona leads a highly specialized dry eye clinic at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi, meeting the rising demand for advanced ocular surface therapies.
