Dr. Saif Alkaabi is a distinguished Paediatric Consultant with extensive experience in paediatric care and a specialization in paediatric rheumatology. His impressive career spans over two decades, with notable roles including Paediatrics Consultant at Zayed Military Hospital from 2010 to January 2023, and Head of the Paediatric Department at the same institution from 2013 to 2017. His academic journey began with an MBBCH from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at UAE University in 1997. He completed his internship at Tawam Hospital and Al Ain in 1998, followed by a residency in Paediatrics Core at McGill University, Canada, from 2002 to 2005. He further honed his expertise through a clinical attachment in Paediatrics Rheumatology at McGill University from 2005 to 2007. In 2006, he earned the Diploma of the American Board of Paediatrics. In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Alkaabi has made significant contributions to medical education, delivering professional lectures on general paediatrics and paediatric rheumatology to interns and residents at Zayed Military Hospital. He has held esteemed positions such as Head of the Medical Board Committee at Medical Services Corps in 2021 and was a member of the P&T Committee at Zayed Military Hospital from 2008 to 2016. Dr. Alkaabi’s dedication to the field has been recognized with the prestigious Rashid Award for Scientific Outstanding in 2008.
