Biography

Dr. Murad Manea Alobthani is a highly accomplished Consultant Ophthalmologist with extensive expertise in Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and Cataract care. Serving as the Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Burjeel Medical City and Director of Ophthalmology Services at Burjeel Holdings, Dr. Alobthani brings over a decade of experience in both clinical and academic roles. Dr. Alobthani’s training includes prestigious fellowships in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery from Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He has held prominent positions at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City as Division Chief of Ophthalmology and as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Khalifa University. His qualifications are complemented by a Master’s in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, highlighting his commitment to both medical excellence and healthcare leadership. An active leader in the field, Dr. Alobthani has contributed significantly to ophthalmology in the UAE and beyond.
