Biography

Dr. Mohammad Nawaz Salt is a Pulmonologist with over a decade of experience in India’s top institutes. After completing his MD in Pulmonology from B.J. Government Medical College, Pune, he pursued his Super-Specialization degree DM in Pulmonology from St. John’s National Institute of Health Sciences, Bangalore, one of the premium institutes for health care and medical education in India. He also holds a European Board Certification in Adult Respiratory Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Nawaz has also completed a Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology. He has independently performed most diagnostic, therapeutic, flexible, and rigid bronchoscopies and thoracoscopies. He also has extensive experience in endobronchial ultrasound for the biopsy of mediastinal lymph nodes. As a consultant pulmonologist at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, he has worked closely with the heart-lung transplant team at KIMS Hospital for three years. He has managed COVID-positive lung transplant patients. The KIMS HLT team is the largest center performing heart-lung transplants in India, with more than 400 cases. Dr. Nawaz specializes in all aspects of pulmonary and sleep medicine in adults, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, sleep-disordered breathing, pneumonia, respiratory failure, empyemas, the management of post-heart lung transplant patients, and other airway, parenchymal, and pleural-related disorders.
