Dr. Wieslaw Koterla graduated in 1981 and holds a university diploma and the title of Medical Doctor issued by the Silesian Academy of Medicine in Poland, European Union. He also holds a Second Degree Specialty Diploma issued by the Post Diploma Medical Education Centre in Warsaw, Poland, and has been a member of the European Union since 1993. The Specialty Diploma was gained upon completion of residency and training in Internal Medicine & Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy carried out in Silesian Medical University from 1981-1991 in compliance with requirements defined in article 25 of the 2005/36/WE Directive of the European Parliament and Council. To support his career path, he studied Healthcare Administration at the University of Atlanta, USA, in 2014. He has held an Executive Master of Business Administration diploma since 2002 from Illinois University, USA. As an academic lecturer, Dr. Wieslaw was regularly teaching Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, and Diagnostic and Invasive Ultrasound procedures. He is an author of scientific and clinical research publications. He relocated to UAE in 2010 and worked for a public hospital managed by Johns Hopkins Medicine International from Baltimore, Maryland, USA, in Abu Dhabi. He performed a successful start-up for Gastroenterology Services there. He moved to the private healthcare sector in 2016, including Al Sharq Hospital in Fujairah and Burjeel Royal Hospital Al Ain in 2018. Based on his privileges, he is entitled to manage Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology patients, including diagnostic and Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy procedures for Outpatient and In-Patient services.
