Biography

Dr. Ashraf Salem is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Foot and Ankle with more than 33 years of experience in the field of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery. He obtained his medical degree in Orthopedic Surgery with honors from Ain Shams University, Egypt in the year of 1988. Dr. Ashraf then received his master’s and doctorate degrees in the same university before moving to the United Kingdom in 2002. He also had his higher surgical training in United Kingdom and has been a Consultant in UK for more than 18 years. In addition, Dr. Ashraf acquired a Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in London and the Intercollegiate Fellowship of the Four Royal Colleges in Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery.  He has wide experiences in the full range of modern Foot and Ankle Surgery such as Sports Injuries to Ankle Ligaments, Achilles Tendon Disorders, Heel Pain, Bunion and Toes Correction, Ankle Joint Replacement and Arthroscopic and Minimally Invasive Foot and Ankle Surgeries.  Dr Ashraf Salem is a member of the British and European Foot and Ankle Societies, the British Orthopedic Association and the Medical Protection Society (MPS) and he has many publications and presentations in local, national and international meetings.
