Biography

Dr. Tamer Attia is a highly experienced Consultant in Otolaryngology (ENT) – Head & Neck Surgery, registered in the UAE since 2015. With over 23 years of expertise in his specialty, he has practiced in multiple countries, including Egypt, Austria, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Dr. Attia obtained his Doctorate in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery from Menoufia University, Egypt, and further advanced his expertise through a clinical fellowship in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the Medical University of Graz, Austria. He has held the title of Consultant Otolaryngologist since 2009. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Attia is a dedicated educator and researcher. He has been a faculty member at Menoufia University, Egypt, since 2002, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology. He has also contributed to medical education internationally, having served as an Assistant Professor at Prince Sattam bin AbdulAziz University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Attia’s extensive experience, combined with his commitment to medical education and patient care, makes him a distinguished figure in the field of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.

  • Microscopic ear surgeries to improve hearing quality and eradicate refractory middle ear infections.
  • Microscopic vocal cord (voice box) surgery to improve voice quality.
  • Surgeries of the oral cavity and throat with (coblation technology) as done in tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and snoring and sleep apnea corrective surgeries. This technology is well known for having less painful and almost bloodless surgical field.
  • Head & Neck surgery including endocrine glands (thyroid, parathyroid), salivary glands (parotid, submandibular), and neck lymph glands dissection in case of malignancy. All done with cranial nerve integrity monitoring to minimize postoperative complications
