Dr. Haripriya Reddy Challa is an Indian National Board-trained Specialist in Infectious Diseases with over five years of experience in the diagnosis and management of complex infectious diseases. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in India and further specialized with a Fellowship of the National Board (FNB) in Infectious Diseases from Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. She is also Certified in Infection Control (CIC), reflecting her expertise in hospital infection prevention practices. Prior to joining Burjeel Hospital, Dr. Haripriya worked as a Consultant in Infectious Diseases at AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad, where she was actively involved in antimicrobial stewardship programs, infection prevention and control initiatives, and management of a wide spectrum of inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases. Her clinical expertise includes the management of infections in immunocompromised patients, HIV and transplant-related infections, sepsis, bloodstream infections, multidrug-resistant organisms, and complex infections in critical care settings. Her scope of practice includes comprehensive infectious disease consultations, ICU and ward-based infection management, antimicrobial optimization, adult vaccination, travel medicine, and pre- and post-transplant infection care. Dr. Haripriya is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care through accurate diagnosis, multidisciplinary collaboration, and rational antimicrobial use.
