Biography

Dr. Vengal Medapati is a distinguished double South African board-certified Consultant Plastic Surgeon who comes with over 19 years of experience. In 2004, he received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, South Africa. Followed by his internship, Dr. Vengal ventured from being a Medical Officer until becoming a Resident in Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital and in the same university he graduated where he mastered all fields of plastic surgeries such as reconstruction, microsurgery, cleft care, burns, cosmetics and aesthetics. He also performed various extensive researches, critical input in clinical trials and provided undergraduate trainings. Given his surgical experience, he also contributes to the Reconstructive Field of Plastic Surgery by assisting in the Breast Cancer Unit, Cleft Lip & Palate Unit and Burns Unit at the Burjeel Hospitals since 2023. Dr. Vengal’s strong academic background, combined with training in South Africa, numerous international programs, and his role as a trainer for well-known international aesthetic brands, collectively establish him as a trusted and skilled surgeon.
