Biography

Dr. Mariam is a double Board-Certified Consultant Dermatologist who has a German Board of Dermatology and Venerology (Facharzt) and an Arab Board for medical specialization in Dermatology. She completed her Bachelor’s of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from UAE University in 2005. Dr. Mariam has worked with many reputed hospitals in the UAE since 2005. With an international experience between 2011 and 2017, Dr. Mariam worked at the renowned Charité University Hospital in Berlin, Germany, to pursue her German Board Certification in Dermatology and Venerology. Dr. Mariam’s expertise includes treatment in acute & chronic skin disorders such as psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, acne, and others; allergies, including urticaria, allergic contact dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, treatment for skin pigmentation, genetic, hair, and nail disorders. She performs procedures such as biopsies, skin excisions, electrocautery, cryotherapy, intralesional injections, cosmetic procedures including fillers, Botox, micro-needling with or without radiofrequency, mesotherapy, PRP face, hair treatments, laser treatment, and ultrasound. Her skills involve peelings like a superficial and deep chemical peel. Additionally, she is experienced in skin cancer screening and treatment. As an eminent speaker, she addressed topics like ‘unusual cases,’ ‘psoriasis and pregnancy.’ she has been actively teaching undergraduate medical students and residents in the Charité university hospital and many other residency programs across UAE. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and holds an Executive Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration.
