Biography

Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Hamza is a Consultant General Surgeon with over 25 years of experience in general surgery. He graduated from Cairo University’s Medical School and completed his fundamental surgical training at Cairo University Hospital. He earned a Master’s degree in General Surgical Sciences in 2001. Between 2002 and 2006, Dr. Hamza worked at Dar Al Fouad Hospital, one of Egypt’s largest private surgical centers. He then moved to Kuwait, becoming a member of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital (Kuwait University Medical School) where he mentored junior surgeons and was involved in various scientific endeavors through the Kuwaiti Board of Surgery program. In 2012, Dr. Hamza earned his MD in General Surgery from Ain Shams University, Cairo. He also holds a Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery from the World Laparoscopy Hospital in New Delhi, India (2014). In April 2019, he relocated to the United Arab Emirates and joined Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Hamza is a board-certified laparoscopic surgeon who has performed over 3000 laparoscopic procedures. His extensive experience includes Breast Cancer Surgery, various types of Hernia Repairs, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy and Appendectomy, Abdominoplasty, Abdominal Wall Reconstruction, Emergency and Elective Gastrointestinal Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Pilonidal Sinus Surgery, Thyroid and Salivary Gland Surgery, Lymph Node Excision, and Anal Canal Surgery (Piles, Fissure, and Fistula), as well as Skin Lesions Excision.
