Biography

Dr. Shobhana has over 27 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology. She finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, India. After that, she completed her post-graduation DOMS from Regional College of Ophthalmology and completed Diplomate of National Board (DNB  New Delhi)  in 1990. She did her Fellowship of the royal college of surgeons (FRCS) from Royal College of Edinburgh in 2002. She completed her Vitreo Retina fellowship from Medical Research Foundation (Chennai), and she worked in prestigious Eye hospitals Joseph Eye Hospital (Trichi) Aravind Eye Hospital Madurai. She worked in KSA  Registrar Surgical Institute: Prince Abdullah Hospital Bisha K.S.A Nov 1999 and later she joined as Specialist Ophthalmologist: Armco Hospital Al-Kafji, K.S.A.April 2000, and as a  Junior Consultant: Al Ghori Eye Hospital Riyadh April 2004. She worked as Specialist Ophthalmology: Prime Medical Centre Dubai Deira April 2004 to Sep 2006. Later, she joined Govt hospital Al-Ain Hospital from Sep 2006 to Sep 2014. And later on, She worked in Taha Medical Centre from 2014 to 2021 as a specialist ophthalmologist. She has taken various professional specialized courses microsurgery of the eye,  Vitreo Retina, intraocular correction, and phacoemulsification of cataracts.
