Dr. Hazar is an ophthalmic surgeon specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. She earned he medical degree from Latakia Medical University in Syria, and in 2009 passed the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) examination. She went on to complete a Master’s degree in Ophthalmology in 2011. With 14 years of clinical experience, Dr. Hazar has successfully performed thousands of surgeries, including cataract, refractive, strabismus and oculoplastic procedures. Since 2012, she developed her career in pediatric ophthalmology as she was the consultant of ophthalmology in Maternity and pediatric hospital in Latakia. In 2020, she began her PhD in pediatric ophthalmology, with a focus on kids with learning difficulties such as dyslexia and ADHD. Dr. Hazar is also a member of the Syrian Ophthalmology Society
