Biography

Dr. Maher is a Lebanese-trained specialist gastroenterologist. He earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut. He completed his Internal Medicine then gastroenterology fellowship at the same institution. Prior to relocating to UAE, he practiced as a Gastroenterologist at prominent hospitals and centers in Lebanon. He joined Specialized Medical Care hospital in Al Ain in 2021 as a specialist gastroenterologist then one year later he was assigned as the medical director in the same institution. Dr. Maher has extensive experience in general gastroenterology and hepatology. He specialized in conditions of the gastrointestinal tract including Irritable Bowel syndrome, Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), Celiac disease, Colon cancer screening and liver disease.
