Biography

Dr. Houssam El Ali is a Consultant in Endocrinology at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi  He obtained his MBBS in 1993 and completed his sub-specialization in Internal Medicine in 1997. He is also a Fellow in Endocrinology and Metabolism from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. ​ Before joining Burjeel, Dr. Houssam El Ali had worked in well-reputed government and private institutions in UAE and KSA for over 22 years. He is an active Member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Lebanese Order of Physicians. He has participated in several conferences and workshops about Endocrinology and Metabolism, with several published research papers to his credit.​ Dr. Houssam El Ali’s areas of expertise include managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes, thyroid gland disorders, other endocrine disorders of the pituitary gland, adrenal glands and gonads, calcium and bone disorders, and osteoporosis.​
